Department of Justice

NCJRS Virtual Library

The National Criminal Justice Reference Service (NCJRS) is a federally funded resource offering jusice and drug-related information to support research, policy and program development.  This searchable database provides access to full text publications and abstracts from varied Office of Justice Programs departments on criminal justice topics.


National Institute of Justice Library

Directly and through its research grants, the National Institute of Justice produces scientific publications and media sources to support criminal justice policies and practices.  Their online library makes this material available to the public. 


Bureau of Justice Statistics

The Bureau of Justice Statistics publishes information on crime, criminal offenders, victims of crimes, and the operation of justice systems at all levels of government.  By clicking on Publications Products, you can search this documents, many of which are available online.


COPS Resource Center

The Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) publishes materials for law enforcement and the community to use as they work together to address crime and community disorder.  This website provides access to a searchable database of these documents.  Topics include school and campus safety, nonviolent crime, community partnerships, police operations and technology and Homeland Security.
