The Department of the Interior manages public lands and minerals, national parks, and wildlife refuges and upholds Federal trust responsibilities to Native American tribes. Additionally, Interior is responsible for endangered species conservation and other environmental conservation efforts.
The NPS History Electronic Library is an online collection of National Park Service reports, organized alphabetically by park name. Documents include inventories, histories, management plans, Historic Structure Reports, State of the Park Reports, and Historic Furnishing Reports among others.
The USGS Publications Warehouse provides access to over 160,000 publications written by USGS scientists over the century plus history of the bureau.
The Indian Arts and Crafts Board supports Native American Arts and Crafts businesses by providing business and marketing advice and promotional activities to business owned and operated by federally recognized tribes. They also enforce the Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990 which provides penalties for falsely marketing items as Native-made. They maintain a directory of Native owned Arts and Crafts businesses and manage 3 museums: The Sioux Indian Museum, Museum of the Plains Indian, and the Southern Plains Indian Museum.
