Financial Data and Statistics

Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED)

The Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) is an online database that contains financial and economic data for the united States going back to 1991.  Data is presented in the form of reports, graphs and maps.


Archival Federal Reserve Economic Data (ALFRED)

ALFRED presents vintage versions of economic data dealing with banking, employment, pricees and other business activities for the the U. S. and International areas, going back to 1927.

Farm Credit Administration

Farm Credit Administration

The Farm Credit Administration is an independent financial regulatory agency that oversees the various lending institutions and banks serving agricultural and rural America.

Federal Housing Finance Agency

Federal Housing Finance Agency

The Federal Housing Finance Agency provides supervision, regulation, and housing mission oversight of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the Federal Home Loan Banks.


Fannie Mae

The Federal National Mortgage Association, known as Fannie Mae, is a government sponsored enterprise (GSE) that makes mortgages available to low and moderate income borrowers by backing or guaranteeing them.


Freddie Mac

The Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, known as Freddie Mac, is a government sponsored enterprise (GSE) that buys mortgages from lenders so they can in turn provide more loans to new borrowers.

Federal Reserve

Federal Reserve System

The Federal Reserve System is the central bank of the United States.  It conducts the national monetary policy, promotes the stability of the U. S. financial systems and of individual institutions, ensures that payment and settlement systems are safe and efficient and promotes consumer protection and community development.


Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau helps consumers by providing educational materials and accepting complaints.  It supervises banks, lenders, and large non-bank entities, such as credit reporting agencies and debt collection companies.  The Bureau also works to make credit card, mortgage, and other loan disclosures clearer, so consumers can understand their rights and responsibilities.

FRASER is a digital library of U. S. economic, financial, and banking history - particularly the history of the Federal Reserve System.

Federal Trade Commission

Federal Trade Commission

The Federal Trade Commission works to prevent fraudulent, deceptive, and unfair business practices.  They also provide information to help consumers spot, stop, and avoid scams and fraud.  On their website you can report fraud and Identity theft, get a free credit report and register for the Do Not Call list.


Identity Theft Website

IdentityTheft.gov is a one-stop resource for victims of identity theft provided by the federal government.  It allows people to report identity theft and outlines and provides resources for the recovery process.

The FMC is responsible for regulating the U. S. international ocean transportation system for the benefit of U. S. exporters, importers, and the U. S. consumer.
