The Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) tracks certain toxic chemicals that are possible threats to human health and/or the environment. The reports state how much of each chemical is released into the environment vs. how much is recycled, recovered or treated.
ChemView is a database maintained by the EPA that provides health and safety data on more than 17,000 chemicals. It includes risk notices, EPA assessments, new use rules and information on manufacturing, processing and use.
This website provides access to a searchable database of publications from the EPA on a variety of environmental topics. The documents can be downloaded, printed and ordered for free.
This searchable database contains records of Environmental Impact Statements produced by federal agencies since 1987. The EPA comments on them are also available after 2001. Only EIS produced after 2012 are available for download as pdfs.
The Science Inventory is a searchable database of research produced or funded by the EPA. These include reports, journal articles, books and presentations as well as other material. Each document is described with contact information for its creator and links to available downloads.
Envirofacts is a searchable database of environmental information. This includes water, air, and land quality, information on waste and toxic material, and also information on various facilities and compliance with environmental laws.
